Gachagua Rallies Keroka Residents in Call for Education and Healthcare Reforms

Residents of Keroka turned out in large numbers to welcome former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, who delivered a spirited address centered on national renewal, social justice, and unity.

In his speech, Gachagua praised the town’s resilience, describing its people as steadfast and determined in shaping the country’s future. He emphasized that citizens’ voices remain critical in steering the direction of Kenya.

“The spirit of the people is unstoppable. Your voice must be heard because it matters in the rebirth and renewal of our nation,” he said, drawing applause from the crowd.

The former deputy president called for sweeping reforms in the education and healthcare sectors. He advocated for universal free and compulsory education, arguing that every Kenyan child deserves equal access to learning opportunities. He also criticized what he termed growing inequality in the healthcare system, saying medical services should not be a preserve for the wealthy.

Gachagua was accompanied by several prominent political leaders, including former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i, Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, Eugene Wamalwa, George Natembeya, Peter Munya, and DCP Deputy Party Leader Cleophas Malala, among other elected officials.

The leaders expressed solidarity with the residents and reiterated their commitment to pursuing policies aimed at reducing inequality and strengthening public institutions.

The rally concluded with calls for unity and sustained civic engagement, as Gachagua thanked Keroka residents for their support and urged them to remain steadfast in advocating for a better Kenya.
