Marakwet West MP Timothy Toroitich Awards Full Scholarship to Needy Student

Marakwet West Member of Parliament Timothy Kiprotich Toroitich has awarded a full scholarship to Valentine Jepkemoi Kipruto, a bright but needy student from Chebunet Village, Chebiemit, Moiben Kuserwo Ward, enabling her to pursue her secondary education without financial constraints.

The scholarship, offered through the Office of the MP, will see Valentine join Chebara Girls High School, where she will complete her studies under full sponsorship until the end of her senior school education.

Speaking while announcing the scholarship, MP Toroitich described the award as another milestone in supporting education among vulnerable but deserving learners in the constituency.

“This is another dream come true. Valentine is a bright student from a humble background, and through this full scholarship, she will now pursue her education without any hitches until she completes her studies,” Toroitich said.

The legislator noted that education remains a key pillar in transforming lives and empowering communities, adding that investing in needy students is an investment in the future of Marakwet West.

“I have no doubt that the future holds good tidings for her. We will continue to support such learners to ensure that no child is left behind due to lack of school fees,” he added.

The MP thanked God for the opportunity to make a difference in the life of the student and reaffirmed his commitment to expanding access to education across the constituency.

Local residents and education stakeholders welcomed the move, terming it a life-changing intervention that will inspire other students to work hard despite challenging circumstances.
