Man caught chewing a goat in Trans Nzoia after wife visits traditional doctor

Residents of a quiet village in Trans Nzoia were left in shock after a middle-aged man was found chewing raw goat meat in broad daylight, an incident that quickly drew a crowd and raised serious questions about what had driven him to such behaviour.

The man, who was restrained by neighbours after he was spotted biting into the animal, appeared confused and disoriented, repeatedly calling out his wife’s name as onlookers watched in disbelief. Some villagers initially believed he had lost his mind, while others whispered that something more sinister was at play.

The woman at the centre of the incident, Leah Wekesa, later confirmed that she had been struggling in her marriage after discovering that her husband had been unfaithful for months. According to her, all efforts to confront him had failed, leaving her emotionally broken and humiliated.

“I was tired of being lied to and disrespected,” Leah said. “Every time I asked him the truth, he would laugh at me and walk away. I felt helpless.”

She said that after seeking help, things began to change in unexpected ways.

“I was told the truth would come out on its own. I did not have to fight him or embarrass him,” she said.

Witnesses say the dramatic incident happened just days later, when the man suddenly became restless and was seen wandering the village before attacking the goat. As neighbours gathered, he reportedly shouted Leah’s name and admitted he had been cheating, begging for forgiveness.

Local elders intervened to calm the situation and later took the man home, where family members kept watch as he recovered from the episode. By evening, he was reportedly back to his senses, embarrassed and remorseful.

“He confessed everything. He admitted the affairs and asked his wife to forgive him,” a relative said.

Leah said the ordeal, though painful, finally brought the truth into the open.

“I did not want him harmed. I just wanted him to stop lying and to respect our marriage,” she said. “Now he knows that secrets always come out.” to read more click here
