Kimilili parliamentary aspirant Hon. Masinde Nguti has pledged to pursue an inclusive development agenda aimed at empowering all constituents equally if elected to represent the area.
Speaking to this writer on phone, Nguti said his leadership vision is anchored on equity, transparency and people-driven development, noting that no section of the constituency should feel marginalized in access to opportunities and resources.
He emphasized that empowerment would cut across key sectors including education, youth employment, women enterprise, agriculture and social welfare, arguing that balanced development is critical to unlocking Kimilili’s full potential.
“Leadership must serve everyone without discrimination. My commitment is to ensure that every ward and every household in Kimilili benefits equally from development initiatives,” Nguti said.
The aspirant noted that education will remain a cornerstone of his agenda, promising to champion bursary programs that are fair, timely and accessible to needy students. He also pledged to support youth and women through skills training, access to affordable credit and linkage to government empowerment funds.
On agriculture, Nguti said he would work closely with farmers to improve productivity and market access, adding that empowering farmers translates directly into improved household incomes and food security. He further promised to support small-scale traders and informal sector players through policies that create a conducive business environment.
Nguti called on residents to embrace unity and issue-based politics, saying sustainable development can only be achieved when leaders and citizens work together.
“As we move forward, let us focus on ideas and solutions that uplift our people. Kimilili deserves leadership that listens, includes and delivers,” he said.
Hon. Nguti’s pledge comes as political activity continues to gain momentum in the constituency, with aspirants outlining their development blueprints ahead of the next general election.
