Hon. Florence Jematiah Lauded as NGAAF Delivers Transformative Support in Mochongoi

Residents of Mochongoi have praised the National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF) following the successful rollout of targeted community interventions under the patronage of area leader Hon. Florence Jematiah, citing tangible improvements in education and local livelihoods.

Through the initiative, a total of KSh 800,000 was disbursed in bursaries and full scholarships to needy students, easing the financial burden on families and reaffirming NGAAF’s commitment to ensuring access to education for vulnerable learners.

In a further boost to grassroots development, KSh 500,000 was allocated to two community groups to support income-generating activities and strengthen local economic empowerment efforts. Beneficiaries said the funding would help expand small-scale enterprises and improve household livelihoods.

Kabel Secondary School was also a beneficiary of the programme after receiving beddings and mattresses, a donation that school administrators said will significantly improve student welfare and create a more conducive learning environment for boarding students.

Community members lauded Hon. Jematiah for her hands-on leadership and consistent advocacy for inclusive development, noting that the interventions reflect a people-centred approach that prioritizes education, empowerment, and dignity.

“These initiatives show a deep understanding of our real needs. Supporting our children’s education and empowering community groups is an investment in the future of Mochongoi,” said a local leader during the outreach.

The Mochongoi programme highlights NGAAF’s role in addressing grassroots challenges while underscoring Hon. Florence Jematiah’s commitment to translating public resources into measurable and lasting impact at the community level.
