Bungoma Gubernatorial Aspirant Tim Wanyonyi Pledges People-Centered Leadership
Bungoma gubernatorial aspirant Tim Wanyonyi has reiterated his commitment to inclusive and accountable leadership, saying leaders must prioritize the needs of the people they serve and remove barriers that hinder development at the grassroots.
Speaking while addressing residents in Bungoma, Wanyonyi said leadership should be anchored on listening to citizens and ensuring that governance works for the people, not against them.
“Our work as leaders is to listen to the voices of those we lead, remove the barriers they face, and ensure leadership works for them, not the other way around,” Wanyonyi said.
He emphasized that if elected, he would take full responsibility to ensure devolution delivers tangible benefits to every resident across the county.
“As I face the people of Bungoma, I will have no excuses to make. I will take responsibility to ensure devolution works for everyone, in every village and every homestead,” he added.
Wanyonyi noted that effective devolution is key to equitable development and pledged to strengthen service delivery, transparency, and public participation to ensure no community is left behind.
The aspirant called on residents to actively engage in governance processes, saying inclusive leadership can only succeed when citizens’ voices are heard and acted upon.
