The Government has announced the completion of  5,000 brand new studio apartments at Boma Yangu Mukuru Estate marking a major milestone in the delivery of affordable and dignified housing under the national housing programme. The units are now ready for occupancy and will be handed over to successful applicants in the coming days.

This achievement reflects the hard work, dedication, and strategic leadership of the State Department of Housing, under Principal Secretary Charles Hinga, whose relentless efforts continue to translate the affordable housing policy into tangible outcomes for Kenyans.

The completed units are equipped with modern and essential features designed to enhance quality of life. These include reticulated gas for cooking, reliable water supply, ample parking, well-lit paved walkways, a shopping complex, and high-speed lifts. The estate is also supported by critical social infrastructure, including a school, police station, and fire station, ensuring safety, convenience, and access to essential services within the community.

The Boma Yangu Mukuru Estate development underscores the Government’s commitment to providing safe, affordable, and well-planned housing, while fostering inclusive communities that support social and economic wellbeing.
