Teso South MP Mary Otucho Announces Week-Long Free Medical Camp for Residents
Teso South Member of Parliament Hon. Mary Otucho Emaase has announced a comprehensive week-long Free Medical Camp aimed at expanding access to quality healthcare services for residents of the constituency.
The camp, organized in partnership with MEAK – Medical and Educational Aid to Kenya, will run from 1st to 6th December 2025, operating daily from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Alupe Sub-County Hospital Grounds.
The initiative will bring together a multidisciplinary team of medical professionals—including doctors, nurses, eye specialists, and dental experts—to deliver a wide array of free health services. These include:
- Free Eye Check-ups
- Free General Consultations
- Free Dental Services
- Free Cataract Surgeries
- Free Diagnosis and Treatment for Children aged 1–15
Speaking during the announcement, Hon. Otucho reiterated her commitment to improving healthcare access across Teso South. She noted that the medical camp forms part of her broader agenda to ensure that all residents, regardless of background, can receive timely and quality medical attention.
“Your health matters. Your life matters,” Hon. Otucho said, encouraging community members—especially those with long-standing or untreated health issues—to attend the camp and benefit from the expert services offered.
