In an official statement, the movement’s leader, Dr. Reuben Kigame, said Beryl, despite coming from one of Kenya’s most prominent political families, chose a quiet and dignified life of service. He noted that her contributions to national development were marked by humility, strength, and an unwavering commitment to the public good.
“Although part of one of Kenya’s most prominent political families, Beryl chose a quiet and dignified path, making her mark through dedicated service and meaningful contributions to national development,” Dr. Kigame said.
He added that those who knew and worked with her would remember her for her calm spirit and strong work ethic. Quoting Scripture, Dr. Kigame invoked Romans 12:15, saying, “Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn,” as he affirmed solidarity with the grieving family.
“Today, we stand with the Odinga family in mourning, sharing in their pain and lifting them in prayer,” he said.
Dr. Kigame prayed for comfort for Beryl’s family, friends, and colleagues, wishing them strength during the difficult period.
