The Eldoret National Polytechnic Joins Pioneering Kenya–Australia Education Partnership
The Eldoret National Polytechnic, under the stewardship of Chief Principal Dr. Charles Koech OGW, took center stage at the recently concluded Kenya–Australia Education Workshop, marking a significant milestone in the transformation of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Kenya.
The high-level workshop, hosted at The Nairobi National Polytechnic and facilitated by Signet Institute of Australia, was officially launched by Principal Secretary for State Department for Technical, Vocational Education and Training (SDTVET), Dr. Esther Muoria. The event brought together key stakeholders to strategize on aligning Kenya’s TVET curriculum with global standards, aimed at enhancing employability and industry relevance.
The initiative follows the formal agreement between Signet Institute and Kenya’s Ministry of Education and the official opening of the Signet Institute Kenya Campus — a TVETA-accredited institution set to offer Australian-standard training programs locally.
Eldoret National Polytechnic is proud to be among the institutions selected for the pilot phase of this transformative collaboration. The polytechnic will play a key role in shaping the next generation of skilled professionals by integrating global best practices into local training models.
“This partnership reflects our unwavering commitment to quality, relevance, and global competitiveness in skills training,” said Dr. Charles Koech. “We are excited to be part of a new chapter in Kenya’s TVET journey, one that will expand opportunities for our youth both locally and internationally.”
The Kenya–Australia education collaboration represents a bold step toward bridging the skills gap and positioning Kenya as a regional hub for excellence in technical education.
