Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi Empowers Kaleto Sacco with New Matatu, Motorbikes, and Ksh 600,000 Boost
In a continued effort to uplift communities and promote economic empowerment, Kapseret Member of Parliament Hon. Oscar Sudi has delivered a major boost to Kaleto Sacco, a community-based savings and credit organization comprising 75 members from the areas of Kapseret, Lemok, and Tuiyo.
As a follow-up to the Kapseret Empowerment Program, Hon. Sudi officially handed over a brand new 11-seater matatu to the sacco. The vehicle, luxuriously furnished and fully registered with both a logbook and number plate, is expected to enhance the group's income-generating potential through the transport business.
“This initiative is about empowering our people to become self-reliant. The matatu will not only generate revenue but also create employment opportunities for our youth,” said Hon. Sudi during the handover ceremony.
In addition to the matatu, the sacco also received four motorbikes and a cash grant of Ksh 600,000. These resources are intended to support the growth of the sacco’s membership, expand its operational capacity, and ensure long-term sustainability.
“This is not just about today. We are investing in the future of our community by giving our people the tools they need to build stable livelihoods,” added the MP. “My commitment remains firm—to ensure that no one in Kapseret is left behind in the journey toward economic progress.”
Kaleto Sacco members expressed gratitude for the support, saying the assets would go a long way in improving their income streams and boosting their unity as a group.
The Kapseret Empowerment Program continues to impact local communities through targeted interventions that promote entrepreneurship, cooperative development, and access to economic opportunities. The latest initiative aligns with Hon. Sudi’s broader vision of empowering grassroots communities to thrive through sustainable development.
“This is what leadership is about—delivering real, practical change to the people,” said Hon. Sudi.
The MP also urged more residents to form organized groups, assuring them of his continued support through similar empowerment programs across the constituency.
