Bishop Dr. David Munyiri Thagana Honoured at Starbrands Awards for Outstanding Impact in Ministry and Community Service

 

A moment of divine recognition marked the Starbrands East Africa Awards on Friday evening as Bishop Dr. David Munyiri Thagana, the Founder Bishop and Overall Overseer of Glory Outreach Assembly (GOA), was celebrated for his unwavering service to humanity and the Kingdom of God.

Bishop Dr. Thagana, who also serves as the General Secretary of the Federation of Evangelical and Indigenous Christian Churches of Kenya, was among the night’s honoured leaders, earning accolades for his lifelong dedication to community transformation, mentorship, and spiritual leadership.

Receiving the award, a visibly moved Bishop Dr. Thagana shared a deeply personal reflection on his journey:

“And the winner is... As I received this award, it reminded me of the tough journey I have walked serving humanity. I never thought anyone would notice it. Now God's time has come to reward me in public for everything I started in secret. May all honour be to God for every grace He gives me and for glorifying Himself through me and my family. Under his leadership, Glory Outreach Assembly has expanded its reach and influence through church planting, leadership training, and humanitarian initiatives.

The Federation he helps lead represents thousands of congregants across the country, championing unity among evangelical and indigenous churches, while amplifying their voice in national dialogue.
