The stage is set for a thrilling showdown as the Trans Nzoia County Rugby 7s pools were officially unveiled ahead of the Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) County Games, scheduled to kick off on June 19 at the historic St. Patrick Makunga grounds.
Rugby fans across the region will have their eyes on defending national champions Friends School Bwake, who headline Pool D. Bwake Boys will face a spirited challenge from Maziwa Secondary and Rafiki Secondary as they seek to defend their title and reaffirm their dominance on the pitch.
The draw promises intense action across all four pools, with Pool A featuring a fierce rivalry as Linyu Secondary faces off against Mubere Secondary and perennial rugby powerhouse, St. Anthony's Boys.
Pool B is expected to be tightly contested, with Sinoko Secondary locking horns with Kabuyefwe Secondary and Matubei Secondary. All three schools boast strong rugby traditions and are tipped as dark horses in this year’s tournament.
In Pool C, hosts Makunga High School will enjoy home-ground advantage as they battle against St. Joseph’s Boys and Kapsara Secondary. With the local crowd expected to turn up in large numbers, the atmosphere is set to be electric.
