Hon. Patrick Simiyu, Member of Parliament for Cherang’any Constituency, has publicly reaffirmed his steadfast commitment to the Tawe Nation movement, a rising socio-political force in the Rift Valley region spearheaded by Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya.
Speaking at a community event in Cherang’any, Simiyu declared his loyalty to the movement’s vision, which aims to champion social justice, economic equity, and grassroots empowerment in the larger North Rift and Western Kenya regions.
“Tawe Nation is not just a slogan—it’s a stand. It’s a stand against inequality, exclusion, and stagnation. I’m proud to walk this journey with Governor Natembeya and every citizen who believes in a new, people-centered future,” Simiyu said to a cheering crowd.
The declaration, punctuated by the rallying cry “Tawe Nation Rising!”, comes at a time when the movement has been gaining momentum, drawing support from youth leaders, civil society groups, and a growing number of elected officials who align with Governor Natembeya’s reformist agenda.
Governor Natembeya, known for his outspoken leadership style and bold calls for accountability, has positioned Tawe Nation as a symbol of defiance against political marginalization and a call for leadership that puts citizens first.
Simiyu’s open allegiance is expected to bolster the movement’s credibility in Cherang’any and the broader Trans Nzoia region, setting the stage for what insiders describe as “a new political wave ahead of 2027.”
The Tawe Nation movement continues to resonate particularly with the youth and marginalized communities, calling for transformation in governance, land rights, and service delivery.
As regional politics realign, observers say Simiyu’s declaration is a clear signal that the Tawe Nation is no longer a fringe movement—but a force to watch.
