Rarieda Member of Parliament Dr. Hon. Otiende Amollo, SC, on Friday visited Wang’arot Primary School in West Asembo to inspect ongoing construction works of a new classroom and to support further development at the institution.
During his visit, Dr. Amollo assessed the progress of the ongoing project and reaffirmed his commitment to improving learning infrastructure in the constituency. In a show of continued support for education, the MP also raised Kshs 1,040,000 to fund the construction of a second classroom at the school.
Speaking to teachers, students, and local residents, Dr. Amollo emphasized the importance of investing in quality education infrastructure, noting that improved learning environments play a critical role in academic performance and pupil retention.
“Education is the greatest equalizer. By improving our schools, we are not only building classrooms—we are building futures,” he said.
Wang’arot Primary School has struggled with inadequate infrastructure, with many pupils previously learning in congested or temporary facilities. The new classrooms are expected to ease overcrowding and provide a more conducive learning space for the pupils.
The MP’s intervention forms part of a broader initiative across Rarieda Constituency aimed at enhancing educational access and quality through infrastructure development and bursary support.
Local leaders and school management thanked Dr. Amollo for his continued dedication to uplifting education standards in the region.
