Governor Natembeya Lands in Kisumu Ahead of Grand Prayer Meeting and Homecoming Tour

Deputy Party Leader and Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya touched down at Kisumu International Airport on Sunday morning, marking the start of his much-anticipated prayer meeting and homecoming tour scheduled to culminate in Kitale.

The high-profile event is expected to draw large crowds as the governor makes strategic stopovers in Vihiga, Kakamega, and Bungoma counties before proceeding to his home turf in Kitale, Trans Nzoia County.

Governor Natembeya’s arrival was met with jubilation by supporters and local leaders who turned up at the airport to welcome him. The tour is being viewed not only as a spiritual and cultural homecoming, but also as a key political moment as the Deputy Party Leader solidifies his growing influence in the region.

“This journey is both personal and symbolic. It’s about thanksgiving, reconnecting with the people, and reaffirming our shared vision for transformation,” Governor Natembeya said upon arrival.

The multi-county roadshow will include prayer meetings, public addresses, and stakeholder engagements, with themes centered around unity, development, and accountability in governance.

Local leaders from across Western Kenya are expected to join the governor at various stops, as the event builds momentum towards the final homecoming ceremony in Kitale.

Security has been heightened along the route, with organizers assuring the public that all necessary logistics have been put in place to ensure a smooth and peaceful event.

Natembeya’s regional tour is seen as a major political statement amid rising speculation about his future ambitions on the national stage.
