In a heartwarming act of service and spiritual encouragement, Bishop David Munyiri Thagana of Glory Outreach Assembly (GOA) spent his weekend fellowshipping with pastors from the GOA Nairobi Region and the children of the CCRC Children’s Home.
Describing the visit as “deeply inspiring and heartwarming,” Bishop Thagana shared how the children’s faith, joy, and resilience left a lasting impression on the group. “Their powerful testimonies of God’s work in their lives are a true reflection of resilience and hope,” he said.
The day’s activities included a symbolic tree-planting ceremony within the home’s compound. The fruit trees, planted by the visitors and residents, represent not only future nourishment for the children but also a gesture of sustainable growth and spiritual commitment.
“Our presence here is both a spiritual and physical encouragement to them,” Bishop Thagana said. “We are planting seeds—literally and figuratively—that will bear fruit for generations to come.”
CCRC is one of eight children’s homes under the care of GOA Ministries, an organization committed to raising children in an environment grounded in faith, love, and purpose. Through this initiative, the church aims to offer not just shelter, but also a foundation of spiritual and emotional support.
Today’s visit, Bishop Thagana emphasized, served as a reminder of the church’s calling to nurture and uplift the vulnerable. “The children radiate strength and faith. Listening to them reminds us of the incredible impact that love, faith, and a supportive community can have on a young soul.”
