Kiambu Woman Representative Ann Wamuratha on Friday led a wide-ranging empowerment drive in Komothai, Githunguri Subcounty, distributing essential items and support tools aimed at uplifting local communities and fostering inclusive development.
The outreach initiative saw hundreds of residents benefit from a variety of items tailored to meet both personal and community needs. Among the distributed tools were blow dryers, shaving machines, dryers, trolleys, motorcycle umbrellas, and UV machines—equipment designed to boost self-employment and entrepreneurship, especially among youth and women.
In a heartfelt show of care, Hon. Wamuratha also ensured that blankets were donated to elderly citizens, sanitary towels were delivered to three local schools, and water tanks were provided to support clean water access. Additionally, nutritious meals were served to all who attended, affirming her commitment to dignified service for every constituent.
Notably, community groups such as Kigumo Welfare and Kibichoi Welfare received tents and chairs to strengthen their social cohesion and support future communal activities.
“This initiative is a clear reflection of our unwavering commitment to sustainable community development, improved livelihoods, and inclusive growth for all,” said Wamuratha, addressing the gathering. “Together, we rise.”
The event underscored her vision of servant leadership rooted in practical action. By empowering households with tools and essentials, she continues to bridge the gap between leadership and lived realities, transforming lives one initiative at a time.
Ann Wamuratha’s efforts in Githunguri reaffirm her position as a champion of grassroots empowerment, prioritizing both dignity and opportunity for her people. With such impactful programs, Kiambu County is steadily advancing towards a future where no one is left behind.
