Celebrating Teachers Who Shape Generations

KEWOTA Kenya Women Teachers Association CEO Benter Opande has celebrated teachers for their invaluable role in shaping not only learners’ academic journeys but also their character, ambitions and future.

As the world marks World Teachers’ Day, Opande has paid tribute to teachers whose influence extends far beyond the classroom, helping learners develop the confidence, discipline and knowledge they need to navigate life and build a better future.

“Teachers prepare us for more than the classroom. They shape how we think, plan and build for the future.”

She noted that teachers remain central to shaping generations, inspiring dreams and laying the foundation for stronger families and communities.

Opande thanked teachers for their dedication, sacrifice and commitment to nurturing learners, recognising the lasting impact of their work both in schools and beyond.
