UDA Unveils Women and Youth Leadership Manuals Ahead of 2027 Elections

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has launched new training manuals targeting women and youth as part of efforts to strengthen their participation and representation in Kenya’s elective politics.

Speaking during the launch, UDA Secretary General Sen. Hassan Omar Hassan urged women and young people to take a more active role in political leadership and claim their rightful place in elective positions.

The manuals are designed to equip women and youth with practical skills in grassroots campaign mobilisation, communication planning and election-day operations.

UDA Director of Women Affairs, Training and Civic Education Margaret Ndanyi commended The Oslo Center for supporting the development of the manuals, while Director of Programmes and Partnerships Daniel Kiptoo described the launch as an important milestone in political empowerment.

UDA said the initiative is also aimed at advancing the constitutional two-thirds gender principle through civic education and deliberate political empowerment.

The launch was attended by Narok Woman Representative Rebecca Tonkei, Principal Secretary for Culture, the Arts and Heritage Ummi Bashir, UDA party directors, NEC members and other party officials.
