NPS Offers On-Site Police Clearance Certificates at Nairobi International Trade Fair
The trade fair is being held at Jamhuri Park Showground in Nairobi from September 28 to October 4, 2026, under the theme “Promoting Climate Smart Agriculture and Trade Initiatives for Sustainable Economic Growth.”
The NPS said its participation is aimed at strengthening community policing, improving public engagement and creating an opportunity for Kenyans to interact directly with law enforcement officers.
Members of the public visiting the NPS stand will have an opportunity to engage officers on a one-to-one basis, ask questions and seek clarification on various issues relating to policing and law enforcement.
The Service said officers from different directorates, formations and specialised units have been deployed to the exhibition stand to showcase their work and interact with visitors.
Among the units represented are the K-9 Unit, General Service Unit (GSU), SGB and VIP Protection Unit, Traffic Department, Railways and Ports Unit, Internal Affairs Unit (IAU), Directorate of Corporate Communications and Administration Police Service (APS) Band.
The exhibition is also expected to give members of the public an opportunity to learn more about the roles of the various police formations and the services they provide.
One of the key services being offered at the NPS stand is the instant processing of Police Clearance Certificates, commonly known as Certificates of Good Conduct.
The Service is encouraging Kenyans who require the document to take advantage of the on-site service while visiting the trade fair.
The NPS said the initiative is part of its efforts to make public services more accessible while bringing police services closer to citizens.
The Service has also encouraged families, corporate partners and members of the public to visit its exhibition stand and learn more about its operations, specialised units and efforts to enhance security across the country.
The participation of the NPS at the trade fair comes as the event brings together businesses, government institutions, innovators and members of the public to showcase products, services and innovations.
The Service said its presence at the event will provide an opportunity to strengthen relations between police officers and the communities they serve while promoting greater understanding of law enforcement operations.
The NPS has therefore urged the public attending the Nairobi International Trade Fair to visit its stand, interact with officers and make use of the services and information available throughout the exhibition.
