KENEI TAKES GRASSROOTS CAMPAIGN TO ZIWA AS UASIN GISHU RACE HEATS UP

Uasin Gishu gubernatorial aspirant Willy Kenei has intensified his grassroots engagements ahead of the 2027 General Election, taking his campaign to Ziwa Ward in Soy Constituency.

Kenei on Sunday joined Catholic faithful for worship and fellowship at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Ziwa Machine, where he participated in prayers, worship and thanksgiving before engaging with members of the local community.

The visit gave Kenei an opportunity to interact with residents, listen to their concerns and share his vision for the future of Uasin Gishu.

Kenei thanked the faithful for the warm reception, saying the county’s journey towards greater prosperity should be guided by faith, unity, compassion, integrity and a strong commitment to serving the people.

He said his focus is on building an inclusive and prosperous Uasin Gishu where residents are involved in shaping the county’s development agenda.

The Sunday engagement is part of Kenei’s growing grassroots outreach as he seeks to consolidate support across the county. He has been holding consultations and meeting residents and community leaders in different parts of Uasin Gishu as the 2027 gubernatorial race gathers momentum.

Kenei is among the prominent aspirants seeking to succeed Governor Jonathan Bii, with several other contenders already positioning themselves for the county’s top seat.

His campaign has focused on economic transformation, investment, job creation, youth empowerment, accountability and improved service delivery.

Kenei has also emphasised the importance of listening to residents and working with communities to address challenges at the grassroots.

During the Ziwa visit, he called for unity among residents and prayed for the faithful, the people of Soy and the wider Uasin Gishu community.

With the 2027 elections approaching, Kenei is expected to continue his countywide engagements as he seeks to strengthen his grassroots network and build momentum for his gubernatorial bid.
