Former Kesses MP Swarup Mishra Signals Comeback as He Eyes Return to Constituency

Former Kesses Member of Parliament Dr Swarup Mishra has signalled his intention to make a political comeback and return to the constituency, three years after losing the parliamentary seat to CPA Julius Ruto in the 2022 General Election.

Mishra, who previously represented Kesses in Parliament, said he was ready to return to the constituency and continue serving the people, citing faith and the support of residents as key to his anticipated comeback.

“In the name of God and with the blessings and support of the people, I will return to Kesses Constituency. I remain committed to serving the people and contributing to the development and progress of our community,” Mishra said.

Mishra lost the Kesses parliamentary seat in the 2022 elections, when he was defeated by CPA Julius Ruto, who has since been serving as the area MP.

His latest declaration is therefore expected to reignite political competition in Kesses, with the former MP positioning himself for a possible return to elective politics.
