DRAMA AS PWDs SPLIT OVER SH15 MILLION - DEMO SET FOR TOMORROW THREATENED

A major rift has erupted within the Persons Living With Disabilities (PLWD) movement in Eldoret ahead of a planned mega demonstration tomorrow, Thursday.

The group had planned to stage a protest march from Zion Mall to the County Headquarters to demand the release of Sh15 Million they claim is pending from the County Government.

But hours to D-Day, the plan has hit a dead end after the group split into two bitter factions.

One faction led by Chair *Willy Kishara* is pushing hard that the demonstration must go on as planned, no retreat, no surrender, arguing that the County has taken them in circles for too long.

On the other side, a group led by *Joseph Ochieng and members of the deaf community* has distanced itself from the demos, calling for dialogue instead of chaos. They insist that an agreement should first be reached between the two sides before taking to the streets.

The disagreement now threatens to split the group's united front over the millions, with fears that tomorrow's much-hyped protest could flop or turn chaotic as members face off against each other.

By press time, tension was high, with both camps standing their ground. It remains unclear whether the Kishara-led team will proceed alone, or if Joseph Ochieng's team will succeed in stopping the march.

County officials are yet to comment on the pending Sh15 Million and tomorrow's planned demonstration.
