Mois Bridge Set for Water Transformation as MCA Unveils New Infrastructure Push

By Wasike Elvis

Mois Bridge Ward MCA Bishop Patrick Kimeli says residents are set to benefit from an ongoing water infrastructure project aimed at improving access to reliable water and supporting the transformation of Mois Bridge into a vibrant business hub.

Kimeli said preparations and pipe-laying works are underway to connect water from Milimani to key institutions and residential areas within Mois Bridge.

The project will see water pipes pass through areas including Mois Bridge County Hospital, Mois Bridge Primary School, Penda Toto and Bomet, before connecting towards Milimani.

According to Kimeli, the initiative is part of broader efforts to improve essential amenities and create an environment conducive to business and investment in the growing town.

He said access to reliable water would not only benefit households but also institutions and businesses that depend on adequate water supply to operate effectively.

Mois Bridge transformation underway

Kimeli said the water project is part of a wider transformation agenda aimed at changing the face of Mois Bridge.

He described the ongoing developments as a significant shift from the past, when the town lacked basic amenities and infrastructure needed to support its growing population and commercial activities.

“Transformation of Mois Bridge to a great business hub is ongoing,” Kimeli said, adding that the town was steadily moving from an area without adequate amenities to a vibrant municipality.

The MCA said the ongoing infrastructure developments were evidence that change was taking place in Mois Bridge, with residents expected to benefit from improved services and facilities.

Boost for residents and businesses

The water connection is expected to provide an important boost to residents, schools, healthcare facilities and businesses along the route.

Reliable water supply is considered essential for the growth of commercial centres, particularly in areas experiencing increased population and business activity.

Kimeli said the project demonstrates the commitment to improving basic services as part of the broader development of Mois Bridge.

He maintained that the transformation of the area would continue, with infrastructure development playing a key role in positioning Mois Bridge as a major commercial centre.

The MCA said residents should expect continued development as efforts to improve amenities and infrastructure gather momentum.

With water infrastructure now being laid to connect key areas, Kimeli said the vision of turning Mois Bridge into a vibrant business hub was steadily becoming a reality.

“From a town without amenities to a vibrant municipality. Change is real,” Kimeli said.
