Lotee Intensifies West Pokot Unity Push, Engages Alale Elites in Uganda

Kacheliba MP Titus Lotee has stepped up consultations with the Kaa-Alale community, engaging a section of Alale elites in Moroto, Uganda, as he seeks to rally support around a common political and development agenda for West Pokot.

Lotee said the consultative meeting provided an important platform for sharing ideas, gathering feedback and listening to diverse perspectives on issues affecting the people of West Pokot.

The legislator said discussions focused on strengthening the TUTAM narrative while advancing the TEAM MESSAGE MOT – MPAKA KEL agenda, which he described as a pathway towards a more united and progressive West Pokot.

According to Lotee, continued engagement with community leaders, professionals and other stakeholders is essential in shaping an agenda that reflects the aspirations of the people.

He expressed appreciation to the Kaa-Alale elites for their participation and the insights shared during the meeting, noting that their views would contribute to shaping the community's future direction.

The meeting comes amid growing efforts by leaders from the region to strengthen grassroots consultations and build broader consensus around the political, social and economic priorities of West Pokot.

Lotee emphasised the importance of unity and collective responsibility, saying the future of the region can best be shaped through dialogue, inclusion and shared purpose.

“Together, we shape our future,” Lotee said, as he thanked the Kaa-Alale elites for their valuable contributions.

The engagement in Moroto also highlights the cross-border social and cultural ties among communities living around the Kenya-Uganda border, with leaders continuing to use such platforms to engage their people and exchange ideas on matters affecting the region.
