Kindiki Commissions 150-Bed Hospital in Ruiru
Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has commissioned the Wanini Kireri Magereza Level 4 Hospital in Ruiru, describing the facility as a major milestone in improving healthcare services for inmates, correctional officers and the surrounding community.
The 150-bed hospital is equipped with modern medical facilities under the National Equipment Support Programme (NESP) and is fully accredited by the Social Health Authority (SHA).
Kindiki said the facility will strengthen access to quality healthcare while supporting the government’s efforts to modernise Kenya’s medical infrastructure.
He noted that investment in modern healthcare facilities is critical to achieving Kenya’s long-term development goals and improving the quality of life for citizens.
The hospital is expected to provide comprehensive medical services to inmates, correctional services officers and residents from the surrounding community.
Kindiki reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring Kenyans have access to quality, affordable and dignified healthcare services.
