KIPRE Charts Results-Driven Path for 2026/27 as Staff Finalise Annual Plans
The Kenya Institute of Primate Research has concluded a week-long planning session aimed at strengthening accountability, improving service delivery and advancing its biomedical research mandate during the 2026/2027 Financial Year.
The planning exercise, held from June 24 to 29, brought together staff from different divisions to develop Annual Work Plans, Procurement Plans and Performance Contract targets in line with national performance contracting guidelines.
The session provided an opportunity for the Institute to align divisional priorities with its Strategic Plan and the national performance management framework, ensuring that programmes are implemented efficiently and resources are utilised prudently.
Through the exercise, KIPRE staff reviewed key institutional priorities and set targets expected to guide operations, procurement and programme delivery in the new financial year.
The Institute said the planning process is central to embedding a results-oriented culture across its departments while enhancing accountability in the management of public resources.
KIPRE remains focused on supporting biomedical research, innovation and public health interventions, with the new plans expected to strengthen coordination and improve the delivery of services to stakeholders.
As the 2026/2027 financial year begins, the Institute is expected to roll out the approved work plans and performance targets as part of its broader commitment to research excellence and national development.
