Faith, Politics and Development: Moses Wanjala Rallies Support as Kwanza MP Bid Gains Momentum

Trans Nzoia County Assembly Clerk Moses Wanjala on Sunday joined Governor George Natembeya for worship services and church fundraising events in Kitale, as he continued to outline his vision for the people of Kwanza Constituency ahead of the next General Election.

Wanjala, popularly known as Lupao and who has declared his intention to contest the Kwanza parliamentary seat currently held by MP Ferdinand Wanyonyi, attended a Sunday service at St. Kizito Parish in Matisi.

Speaking after the service, Wanjala emphasized the importance of faith and community engagement in leadership.

"It was a wonderful moment to worship and fellowship with the community. I am deeply grateful to start the week grounded in faith," he said.

The aspiring legislator reiterated his commitment to improving the livelihoods of residents through targeted investments in key sectors. He said his development agenda would focus on agriculture, healthcare, education and road infrastructure to accelerate economic growth and reduce poverty levels in the constituency.

"My objective is to ensure ordinary people benefit from meaningful development through heavy investments in agriculture, healthcare and roads, while also advancing an education transformation agenda that empowers our youth," he stated.

Later in the day, Wanjala joined Governor Natembeya, other leaders and congregants at the Presbyterian Church of East Africa (PCEA) Kitale West during a Women's Guild fundraiser.

Addressing worshippers, he described the event as an opportunity to reflect on God's faithfulness while reaffirming leaders' commitment to public service.

"I joined the Governor, fellow leaders and congregants of PCEA Kitale West for a Women's Guild fundraiser. It was a moment to reflect on God's faithfulness as we reaffirm our commitment to serving our people in a different capacity," he said.

Wanjala's increasing public engagements alongside Governor Natembeya are expected to fuel political discussions in Trans Nzoia County as the race for the Kwanza parliamentary seat gradually takes shape.
