Dr. Elias Melly Joins Wetang'ula and Mandago in Supporting Eight Churches at Kapkwis SDA Fundraiser

A spirit of faith, unity, and community development marked a special worship service and fundraising event at Seventh-day Adventist Church on Sunday, where national and local leaders joined congregants to support the construction and development of eight churches in the area.

The event attracted prominent leaders, including Moses Masika Wetang'ula, Jackson Mandago, David Kiplagat, Isaac Melly, and Dr. Elias  Melly, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Cancer Institute of Kenya.

Addressing the congregation, leaders underscored the critical role of faith-based institutions in promoting moral values, social cohesion, and community transformation. They praised worshippers and well-wishers for their dedication to supporting church development projects that continue to strengthen communities across the region.

The fundraising drive aimed to mobilize resources for eight Seventh-day Adventist churches, drawing contributions from congregants, community members, religious leaders, and invited guests. Organizers described the initiative as a significant step toward enhancing places of worship and expanding church outreach programs within Kuinet Kapsuswa Ward.

Speaking during the service, Dr. Elias Melly expressed appreciation for the opportunity to worship alongside fellow leaders and members of the congregation.

"Today, I was privileged to attend a church service at Kapkwis Seventh-day Adventist Church in Kuinet Kapsuswa Ward together with Speaker Moses Masika Wetang'ula, Senator Jackson Mandago, Hon. David Kiplagat, and Isaac Melly. The function was also incorporated with a fundraising in support of eight churches. The Holy Spirit gives gifts to every believer," he said.

Religious leaders used the occasion to remind Christians that spiritual gifts are bestowed upon believers for service to God and humanity. They encouraged congregants to use their talents, resources, and influence to uplift others and contribute to the development of their communities.

The event concluded with prayers, worship sessions, and renewed commitments from both leaders and congregants to support church growth and community development initiatives throughout the region.

The gathering highlighted the enduring partnership between faith institutions, community members, and leaders in advancing both spiritual and social progress across Uasin Gishu County, demonstrating the continued role of the church as a pillar of unity and development.
