Uasin Gishu Strengthens Staff Health Cover in High-Level Review With AAR Insurance

The County Government of Uasin Gishu County has reaffirmed its commitment to employee welfare after holding a high-level quarterly performance review meeting with AAR Insurance Kenya aimed at improving healthcare services for county staff.

The strategic session, convened on Friday by the Department of Public Service Management, focused on evaluating the performance of the County Staff Medical Cover Scheme, celebrating milestones achieved, addressing emerging challenges, and strengthening collaboration for better service delivery.

Speaking during the meeting, Chief Officer for Public Service Management Dr. Paul Wangwe said the county remains committed to ensuring workers continue accessing quality and sustainable healthcare services.

“We have deliberated extensively and look forward to continuous engagement. We have a good cover for our staff,” said Dr. Wangwe.

The review meeting provided an important platform for assessing the effectiveness of the medical scheme, service utilization trends, and the performance of healthcare providers under the cover.

County officials emphasized the importance of integrity, accountability, and responsible use of the scheme to safeguard its sustainability and enhance service delivery for employees across the county.

The meeting also evaluated the performance of service providers, with stakeholders proposing recommendations for continuous improvement based on regular assessments and feedback.

Director of Human Resource Management Nathan Koech was also present during the discussions.

The latest engagement signals the county’s growing focus on employee wellness, efficient healthcare management, and building a motivated workforce through reliable medical support systems.
