Murkomen Consoles Leaders After Loss of Kassait Jnr, Calls for Unity and Continued Development
Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has expressed condolences to Tiaty MP William Kamket and Data Commissioner Immaculate Kasait following the untimely death of their son, Bill Ballot Kassait Jnr.
Murkomen made the remarks after visiting the grieving family, where he joined relatives, friends, and leaders in offering comfort and support during the difficult period of mourning.
“Adjusting to life after bereavement is a long and trying process. The encouragement, prayers, and presence of friends and family help to lighten the burden of grief,” said the CS.
He described the family as resilient, expressing confidence in their strength to endure the loss while honoring the memory of their son.
“The family has shown great strength in this difficult time. We continue to stand with them and pray that they find comfort and courage as they come to terms with this tragic loss,” he added.
During the visit, leaders also took time to deliberate on development matters affecting the region, particularly in light of ongoing efforts to restore peace and security.
Murkomen noted that stability remains a key foundation for sustainable development, emphasizing the importance of continued collaboration between national and local leaders.
“We must sustain the progress we have made in restoring peace so that our communities can fully benefit from development initiatives,” he said.
The Interior CS was accompanied by Bomet Senator Hillary Sigei, Mogotio MP Reuben Kiborek, and Bureti MP Kibet Komingoi, who also conveyed their condolences to the bereaved family.
Leaders present reiterated the importance of unity and mutual support during times of loss, while also reaffirming their commitment to advancing development and peace-building efforts across the region.
