Kimumu Ward Aspirant Urges Voter Registration Ahead of 2027 Elections

Kimumu Ward political aspirant Norbert Mondet has called on residents to register as voters ahead of the upcoming 2027 General Election, emphasizing the importance of civic participation in shaping the region’s future.

Speaking during a local outreach initiative, Mondet underscored the urgency of meeting voter registration deadlines, noting that every eligible citizen has a responsibility to take part in the democratic process. He particularly appealed to young people, urging them to take advantage of the opportunity to influence leadership and policy decisions.

“Youth form the majority of our population, and their voice matters. Registering as a voter is the first step toward ensuring that voice is heard,” he said.

Mondet highlighted that increased voter turnout could significantly impact development priorities in Kimumu Ward, adding that informed and active participation strengthens accountability among elected leaders.

He also encouraged first-time voters not to be discouraged by the process, assuring them that registration is straightforward and accessible. Community leaders present echoed his sentiments, stressing that voter registration is key to driving meaningful change.

The aspirant’s remarks come amid ongoing nationwide efforts to boost voter registration, with authorities urging citizens to sign up early to avoid last-minute rushes.

Residents have been reminded that their vote is their power, and timely registration is essential in determining the leadership and direction of the country come 2027.
