Kihara Mentors Naivasha Scholars, Reaffirms Commitment to Education
Naivasha MP Jayne Kihara has intensified her push to uplift education standards in the constituency after hosting beneficiaries of the Naivasha NG-CDF full scholarship programme for a mentorship and consultative meeting.
The event brought together over 50 students under the fully funded initiative, accompanied by their parents and guardians. During the session, the learners presented their academic progress reports, paving the way for a comprehensive review of their performance and identification of areas that need improvement.
Kihara lauded students who have excelled in their studies, encouraging them to maintain their momentum, while challenging those lagging behind to emulate their high-performing peers.
She noted that the NG-CDF scholarship programme has consistently supported bright but needy students, with more than 50 beneficiaries enrolled annually, significantly easing the burden on vulnerable families.
The legislator emphasized that mentorship and close monitoring are key pillars of the programme, ensuring that students not only access education but also succeed academically.
Parents and guardians present at the meeting praised the initiative, describing it as transformative and a lifeline for many households.
Reaffirming her long-term vision, Kihara assured residents that the scholarship programme will continue to grow, enabling more students to achieve their academic dreams.
