EACC Launches The National Ethics And Corruption Survey
Trans Nzoia County Deputy County Secretary George Kisaka while representing County Secretary Truphosa Amere at the launch of the Survey Report released by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission in Safari park Hotel in Nairobi said the County government under the supervision of Governor George Natembeya has maintained a zero tolerance position to corruption.
He noted that such surveys overall objective was " to provide data to inform anti-corruption strategy in the counties, echoing the Governor's stance fighting the vice which has become a headache to many Counties.
The Survey was comprehensive covering all the 47 Counties with Trans Nzoia coming out clean.
He said the Magnitude of Corruption and Unethical Conduct seen and witnessed in other parts of the Country will not be tolerated in Trans Nzoia.
Trans Nzoia County was absolved this time with no cases of those who paid bribes to obtain services in public offices decreasing to Zero.
The Deputy County Secretary said Job seekers who pay bribes to obtain government services face prosecutions since it is a criminal offence.
Mr. Kisaka said Trans Nzoia County remains committed to service delivery, asking civil servants to freely give services to residents as if they were serving God who sees in secret and openly rewards the faithful with long lives.
