The Technical Working Committee (TWC), appointed by the Cabinet Secretary for Education conducted a high-level drafting workshop (April 20th–25th, 2026) to establish Kenya’s National Micro-Credentials Framework.

The event was graced by the Principal Secretary for the State Department for TVET (PS-SDTVET), Dr. Esther Muoria, alongside the KNQA Director General, Dr. Alice Kande. This collaborative effort, supported by the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and the Commonwealth of Learning (COL) aims to bridge the gap between traditional education and the evolving labor market needs.
