Tourism CS Rebecca Miano, EGH: Strengthening Tourism Through Diplomacy

Tourism Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano, EGH, continues to advance Kenya’s tourism agenda through strategic diplomatic engagements.

In a recent high-level meeting with the Italian Ambassador to Kenya, H.E. Vincenzo Del Monaco, the CS discussed the strong and growing tourism partnership between Nairobi and Rome — a relationship anchored in shared cultural appreciation and sustained visitor exchange.

Italy remains Kenya’s **second-largest source market in Europe**, underscoring the enduring affinity Italians have for Kenya’s rich heritage, breathtaking landscapes, and authentic experiences.

During the engagement, Ambassador Del Monaco beautifully described Amboseli National Park as a place of Biblical Beauty” — a powerful tribute to its majestic scenery, iconic elephants, and the awe-inspiring backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. It is this extraordinary natural splendor that Kenya remains committed to preserving and showcasing to the world.

Through tourism diplomacy, Kenya continues to deepen partnerships, expand markets, and position Magical Kenya as a premier global destination.

The country looks forward to welcoming even more Italian visitors to experience the culture, adventure, and the unmistakable *“Biblical Beauty”* that defines Magical Kenya.
