Tears of Joy as Principal Musungu’s Relentless Faith Lifts St. Paul’s Boys Sinoko to KCSE Glory

Tears flowed freely and prayers of gratitude filled the air at St. Paul’s Boys High School Sinoko following the release of the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results last month, as a once-quiet dream turned into a powerful testimony of resilience, leadership and belief.

Under the steady and unwavering leadership of Principal David S. N. Musungu, the school posted an impressive mean score of 8.0156 (Grade B), with 97 per cent of the 154 candidates securing direct university entry. For many parents and teachers, the results were deeply personal, proof that a principal who refused to give up on his boys could indeed rewrite the school’s academic story.

Out of the 154 candidates, 140 qualified for university admission, while 14 transitioned to Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions, ensuring that every learner moved forward with dignity and purpose. The results also marked a positive improvement from the previous year, reinforcing the sense that the school is on a steady upward path.

“He refused to give up on our boys, even when the odds were against us,” remarked a parent, fighting back tears. “He kept telling us to trust the process, to believe in discipline and hard work. Today, we are celebrating because he believed when many doubted.”

Teachers at the institution described Principal Musungu as a firm but caring leader who demanded excellence without losing sight of the human side of education. His hands-on approach, close monitoring of academic programmes, and constant encouragement to both staff and learners cultivated a culture of responsibility and self-belief.

Beyond the grades, the KCSE 2025 results  officially released last month , symbolize countless early mornings, late-night preps, and moments of doubt overcome through collective effort. For the boys who sat the examination, the success represents hope restored and futures unlocked.

As celebrations continue at St. Paul’s Boys High School Sinoko, one message rings clear across the school community: determined leadership, anchored in faith and consistency, can transform lives. And at the heart of this triumph stands a principal who never stopped believing in his boys.
