RVTTI Participates in ICT Authority’s WhiteBox County Innovation Training
The Rift Valley Technical Training Institute (RVTTI) has proudly taken part in the WhiteBox County Innovation Training, a transformative initiative under the ICT Authority Huduma WhiteBox Program.
The impactful training brought together innovators, entrepreneurs and institutional representatives with the aim of strengthening innovation ecosystems at the county level. Participants were equipped with practical skills in business modeling, product development, commercialization strategies and intellectual property protection.
The Huduma WhiteBox Program, spearheaded by the ICT Authority, is designed to promote digital innovation by providing infrastructure, mentorship and capacity building support to budding innovators across the country. Through the initiative, institutions like RVTTI are able to bridge the gap between creative ideas and viable market-ready solutions.
During the training, attendees engaged in collaborative sessions, hands-on workshops and mentorship forums aimed at refining innovative concepts and turning them into sustainable enterprises. The program emphasized the importance of protecting intellectual property to ensure innovators benefit fully from their creations while contributing to national economic growth.
RVTTI’s participation underscores its commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among students and staff. As a public technical training institute, the institution continues to position itself as a key driver of skills development and community transformation within the region.
By embracing collaboration, mentorship and structured capacity building, RVTTI is nurturing ideas that have the potential to create jobs, stimulate economic growth and transform communities from the ground up.
The institute reaffirmed its belief that innovation begins at the grassroots level, noting that with the right support and partnerships, local ideas can deliver global impact.
“Innovation starts with us. The future is now,” the institute stated.
