Dr Reuben Kigame Congratulates Charles Kanjama on Election as 52nd LSK President

Presidential aspirant  Dr Reuben Kigame has congratulated Senior Counsel Charles Kanjama following his election as the 52nd President of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK).

In a statement issued after the announcement of the election results, Dr Kigame described Kanjama’s victory as resounding and well deserved, expressing confidence in his leadership at the helm of the lawyers’ professional body.

“Congratulations to Senior Counsel Charles Kanjama for the resounding and much deserved victory in today’s LSK elections which see him become the 52nd President of the Society,”  Dr Kigame said.

The presidential hopeful noted that he looks forward to working closely with Kanjama and the broader LSK fraternity in advancing key national values, including human dignity, justice, character-driven leadership, and the rule of law.

“I look forward to working with him and the wider LSK fraternity in prioritizing human dignity, justice, character-driven leadership and the rule of law in Kenya for the next two years of his tenure,” he added.

Kigame emphasized the critical role played by the Law Society of Kenya in safeguarding constitutionalism, defending civil liberties, and promoting accountability in governance.

Kanjama’s election marks a new chapter for the LSK, a body that remains central in shaping legal discourse and influencing reforms within Kenya’s justice sector.
