Uasin Gishu Leaders Led by Governor Jonathan Bii Mourn the Passing of Senator Mandago’s Mother
Uasin Gishu leaders, led by Governor Jonathan Bii, have sent messages of condolence to Senator Jackson Kiplagat Mandago and his family following the death of his mother, Mama Esther Lelei.
In a condolence message issued on behalf of the County Government and the people of Uasin Gishu, Governor Bii described the late Mama Esther as a woman whose life was defined by compassion, strength, and selfless service to her family and community.
“On behalf of the County Government and the great people of Uasin Gishu, I wish to convey my heartfelt condolences to Senator Jackson Mandago and his family on the passing of his beloved mother, Esther Lelei. Mama Esther lived a life marked by remarkable compassion, strength, and selfless devotion to her family and community. May they find comfort and peace during this difficult time,” Governor Bii said.
Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi also mourned Mama Esther, describing the loss of a mother as an irreplaceable void and noting that her legacy would remain a source of strength to the family.
“My condolences to Uasin Gishu Senator Jackson Kiplagat Mandago for losing your mother, Gogo Esther Jerotich. Losing a mother leaves an unfillable void, but her love and legacy will be your strength. Her life embodied kindness, resilience, and integrity, inspiring all she touched. May her memory bring peace and solace. Rest in peace, Gogo,” Sudi said.
Kesses MP CPA Julius Ruto echoed the sentiments, saying the loss of a mother is a pain that words cannot heal.
“My heart goes out to my brother, Senator Jackson Mandago, and the entire family following the painful loss of your beloved mother, Mama Esther Tapsiarga Lelei. She was a source of unconditional love, strength, and guidance, and her absence will be deeply felt. May the Almighty God grant you strength and peace during this season of sorrow,” Ruto said.
Soy MP David Kiplagat also conveyed his condolences, assuring the family of prayers and solidarity during the difficult moment.
“At this moment of deep sorrow, we stand with you in prayer and solidarity. May God grant you strength, comfort, and peace, and may Mama Esther’s soul rest in eternal peace,” he said.
Moiben MP Prof. Phylis Bartoo joined leaders across the county and the country in mourning the late Mama Esther, extending her sympathies on behalf of the people of Moiben Constituency.
“I join the entire Republic of Kenya and, on behalf of the people of Moiben Constituency, extend my deepest condolences to Senator H.E. Hon. Jackson Mandago and his family on the loss of his beloved mother, Mama Esther. May God grant the family strength and comfort during this difficult time,” Prof. Bartoo said.
The leaders described Mama Esther as a matriarch whose values of love, resilience, and service will continue to live on through her family. They urged the Mandago family to take comfort in the outpouring of support and prayers from across Uasin Gishu County and the nation as they mourn their loss.
