Michael Kirwa Elected UDA Professional Group Representative in Uasin Gishu

Michael Kirwa has been elected as the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Professional Group representative in Uasin Gishu County following grassroots elections conducted on Saturday.

The election was part of the ongoing UDA Party grassroots polls being held across the county to establish party leadership structures at the local level. Party members from the professional category turned out to vote in an exercise that was described as peaceful and well-organized.

After being declared the winner, Kirwa thanked UDA members for their support and confidence, pledging to represent the interests of professionals effectively within the party. He said he would focus on enhancing the role of professionals in policy formulation, governance, and grassroots mobilization.

“I am honored by the trust shown to me by party members in Uasin Gishu. I am committed to working inclusively and ensuring that professionals play a meaningful role in advancing the UDA agenda,” Kirwa said.

UDA officials overseeing the exercise said the grassroots elections are aimed at strengthening internal democracy and fostering unity within the party. Similar elections for other special interest groups, including youth and women, were also conducted across the county.

The UDA grassroots elections in Uasin Gishu County are expected to continue, with party leaders urging members to maintain peace and active participation throughout the process.
