The management team of LifeCare Hospitals Eldoret on Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to the Uasin Gishu County Assembly, marking a significant step toward exploring strategic collaboration aimed at strengthening healthcare support for county legislators and staff.

The delegation was led by Dr. Mayank Puri, Senior Director at LifeCare Hospitals Eldoret, and included Mr. Boniface Cheruiyot and Ms. Patricia from the hospital’s corporate team. Upon arrival, the team conveyed warm regards to the Assembly’s Human Resource Manager, Ms. Miriam Sawe, acknowledging her role in coordinating staff welfare and administrative matters.

The highlight of the visit was a productive meeting with the Deputy Speaker of the County Assembly, Hon. Sarah Malel, where the two sides discussed avenues for collaboration. Key areas of discussion included the provision of preventive healthcare services, employee wellness programs, emergency response support, and access to specialized medical care for Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) and assembly staff.

Speaking during the engagement, Dr. Puri emphasized the importance of partnerships between private healthcare providers and public institutions in improving the overall health and wellbeing of employees. “We value meaningful dialogue and partnership, and we look forward to building collaborations that deliver sustainable impact and improved access to quality healthcare,” he said. He added that LifeCare Hospitals Eldoret is committed to leveraging its expertise and resources to support institutions that prioritize the health of their members and staff.

Hon. Malel welcomed the initiative, describing it as a forward-thinking approach that aligns with the Assembly’s commitment to employee welfare and sustainable health solutions. She emphasized that a strong partnership with a reputable healthcare provider like LifeCare Hospitals Eldoret would not only enhance medical services for assembly members but also ensure that staff have timely access to quality healthcare interventions.

During the visit, the LifeCare team also highlighted potential programs, including regular health screenings, wellness workshops, and emergency response planning, designed to strengthen preventive care and reduce the risk of workplace-related health issues. Discussions also touched on tailored healthcare packages that could benefit both individuals and the Assembly as an institution.

The courtesy visit concluded on a positive note, with both parties expressing optimism about the potential partnership. LifeCare Hospitals Eldoret reaffirmed its commitment to supporting public institutions through innovative and accessible healthcare solutions, consistent with its mission of delivering patient-centered care.

This engagement is part of LifeCare Hospitals’ broader effort to expand collaborations with public and private organizations to improve healthcare access, strengthen preventive care initiatives, and enhance the overall wellbeing of employees across various sectors. The hospital reiterated its guiding philosophy: “LifeCare Hospitals — Better Together,” underscoring the value it places on partnerships that deliver lasting impact.
