Kesses Member of Parliament CPA Julius Ruto on Friday evening joined Senator Jackson Kiplagat Mandago and his family as they mourned the passing of their mother, describing the loss as a deeply painful moment that calls for unity, prayer, and compassion.
Speaking after condoling with the family, Ruto said he stood in solidarity with the Senator and his loved ones, offering his deepest condolences and prayers for strength and comfort during the difficult period.
“This evening, I stood with my brother, Senator Jackson Mandago, and his family as they mourn the loss of their beloved mother. I conveyed my heartfelt condolences and shared in their grief, praying that God grants them strength, comfort, and peace,” Ruto said.
He noted that the love and legacy of a mother endure beyond death, living on through her children and all whose lives she touched.
“A mother’s love and legacy live on forever in the hearts of her children and in the lives she impacted,” he added.
The condolence visit brought together several leaders who came to support the Mandago family, including Principal Secretary for Water and Sanitation Julius Korir, Soy MP David Kiplagat, former Elgeyo Marakwet Governor Alex Tolgos, and former Uasin Gishu Senator and current Commissioner Isaac Melly.
Ruto said the presence of leaders from across the region was a show of unity and shared grief, underscoring the respect and affection many hold for the late matriarch and her family.
He prayed for peace for the departed soul and urged the family to draw strength from the outpouring of love, prayers, and solidarity during the mourning period.
“May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may the family find solace in the prayers and love surrounding them,” Ruto said.
