The Eldoret National Polytechnic (TENP) Chief Principal, Dr. Charles Koech, has lauded the institution’s staff for their exceptional teamwork, attributing TENP’s strong academic performance and wide-ranging achievements in the 2025 academic year to collective effort, unity and commitment.
Speaking during the institution’s end-of-year team-building party, Dr. Koech praised both teaching and non-teaching staff for working together towards a shared vision, noting that their dedication had enabled the polytechnic to consolidate its position as one of the leading Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions in the country.
He said the spirit of collaboration had translated into improved academic outcomes and successful implementation of key national programmes, including Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), the Electronic Government Procurement (EGP) programme, and Dual Training Initiatives that link trainees with industry for hands-on experience.
“Our achievements this year are a clear demonstration of what we can accomplish when we work together as one team. Every department has played a critical role in ensuring that TENP continues to grow and excel,” Dr. Koech said.
The Chief Principal urged staff to sustain the culture of teamwork and professionalism as they transition into the 2026 academic year, emphasizing that unity, shared responsibility and commitment to excellence had been the driving force behind the institution’s remarkable progress.
He further encouraged staff to remain steadfast in upholding TENP’s vision and mission, saying this would enable the institution to reach even greater milestones in training, innovation, research and community engagement. Dr. Koech expressed confidence that continued collaboration would guarantee better performance and sustained success in the year ahead.
Deputy Principal in charge of Administration, Mr. Paul Seurey, called on staff to take stock of the achievements recorded during the year while preparing to tackle new challenges in the coming academic calendar.
He noted that the gains realized in 2025 were a result of collective commitment and effective teamwork, urging staff to renew their energy and dedication as the institution seeks to scale new heights.
“As we move forward, we must remain focused, united and committed to delivering quality training and services. Teamwork will continue to be the backbone of our success,” Mr. Seurey said.
Deputy Principal Academics, Ms. Penina Ogutu, thanked staff for their unwavering commitment to academic excellence and quality training. She encouraged them to embrace a culture of gratitude, noting that recognizing and celebrating shared achievements strengthens teamwork, boosts morale and motivates staff to perform even better.
Ms. Ogutu emphasized that acknowledging success at the end of the year provides a solid foundation for improved performance in the future, particularly as TENP continues to expand its academic programmes and training opportunities.
Acting Human Resource Officer, Mr. Eliud Kiptanui, highlighted teamwork as a central pillar of The Eldoret National Polytechnic’s success. He observed that collaboration across departments not only drives results but also fosters a positive and supportive work environment.
