Kiambu Woman Representative Praises NG-CDF for Commitment to Grassroots Development

Kiambu Woman Representative Hon. Ann Wamuratha has lauded the National Government–Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF) for its dedication to service delivery, saying teamwork, integrity, and accountability remain critical to meaningful grassroots transformation.

Hon. Wamuratha was speaking as the keynote speaker during the NG-CDF end-of-year closing ceremony, where she challenged staff and stakeholders to remain committed to excellence in public service, even when their efforts go unnoticed.

“True public service is not driven by applause, but by purpose and integrity. When we commit to excellence even when no one is watching, we change lives and build stronger communities,” she said.

The Woman Representative noted that the progress recorded by NG-CDF over the past year reflects the power of collective effort and responsible leadership. She emphasized that the Fund continues to play a vital role in improving education, infrastructure, and social services at the community level.

Hon. Wamuratha also commended NG-CDF Board Chair Hon. Olago Aluoch, CBS, and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Yusuf Mbuno for their leadership and stewardship of the Fund, thanking them for the invitation to address the ceremony.

She reaffirmed her commitment to supporting initiatives that empower communities, strengthen public institutions, and place citizens at the center of development efforts.

The event brought together NG-CDF officials and stakeholders to reflect on the year’s achievements and chart the way forward in enhancing service delivery across constituencies.
