Mt. Kenya Community in Eldoret Pledges Support for President Ruto, UDA

In a show of political unity, members of the Mt. Kenya community in Eldoret have reaffirmed their steadfast support for President William Ruto and the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party during a meeting held earlier this evening.

The engagement, led by Nominated MP Hon. Joseph Wainaina and attended by UDA Secretary General Sen. Hassan Omar Hassan, saw community members express their commitment to the President’s development agenda.

During the meeting, Hon. Wainaina called on residents of Uasin Gishu County to rally behind President Ruto and UDA, urging them to reject tribal leaders who lack a national agenda. “Our support must be based on a vision that unites all Kenyans, not narrow interests,” he said.

Sen. Hassan Omar Hassan encouraged the youth to actively participate in national governance by ensuring they obtain national identification cards in preparation for the 2027 General Elections.

In a call to action, the attendees were challenged to vie for elective positions and play an active role in strengthening representation within UDA leadership.

The meeting highlighted the growing influence of the Mt. Kenya community in the Rift Valley region and underscored the importance of unity and proactive participation in Kenya’s political landscape.
