One Person Arrested as Three Stolen Motorbikes Recovered in Migori county

Bodaboda riders from Suna West and Nyatike in Migori have successfully recovered three motorcycles that were stolen three months ago. Two of the motorbikes were retrieved within Suna West, while the third was found in God Kachalo Ward, Nyatike.

God Kweru bodaboda rider group chairperson, Benard Ochola, said they managed to apprehend the suspect when he attempted to sell one of the stolen motorcycles in Nyatike. He added that the suspect was handed over to the police, who have since launched investigations into the matter.

His sentiments were echoed by Suna Lower boda boda rider group chairperson, Henry Otieno, and Nyatike Sub-county boda boda rider chairperson, Reagan Okoth, who expressed concern over the growing number of criminals targeting riders in the region.

Okoth noted that, aside from losing their motorcycles, several riders have also lost their lives at the hands of assailants. He urged the police to work closely with boda boda operators to eliminate the criminal gangs preying on them.
