ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna Mourns Passing of Uncle Roy Bulinya Sifuna

 

 The family of ODM Party Secretary General Edwin Sifuna is once again in mourning following the death of his uncle, Roy Bulinya Sifuna. The late Bulinya, remembered as a gifted engineer and a man of exceptional character, passed away earlier this week.

Family, friends, and colleagues gathered at St. Francis Catholic Church in Kasarani for a memorial mass in his honour. During the service, Uncle Bulinya was celebrated as a polite, patient, and kind man—qualities Sifuna noted are rare even within their own family.

In a heartfelt message, Sifuna described his uncle as a brilliant professional whose humility and gentleness left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

“Uncle Bulinya was eulogized as a brilliant engineer who was always polite, patient and kind. Very few of us in the family can be described in those terms,” Sifuna said.

The family announced that the late Roy Bulinya Sifuna will be laid to rest this Saturday in Siaka Village, Kanduyi, Bungoma County.

Sifuna expressed deep sorrow over the loss, noting that the family has endured several bereavements in recent months. Despite the pain, he asked for continued prayers and support as they prepare for the final farewell.

“The Sifuna family is in mourning yet again… May his soul rest in peace,” he added.

Burial preparations are underway, and the family is expected to be joined by friends, community members, and leaders from across the region for the final ceremony.
