Kesses MP Condemns Political Violence Orchestrated by MP Oscar Sudi
Hon. CPA Julius Rutto, Member of Parliament for Kesses Constituency, has condemned what he describes as politically orchestrated violence by Kapseret MP Oscar Kipchumba Sudi and his allies, whom he referred to as “Team B.”
Speaking during a bodaboda empowerment in Maili Tisa Turbo Constituency , MP Rutto called on Interior Cabinet Secretary Onesimus Kipchumba Murkomen to take urgent action against the rising politically instigated insecurity in the region.
“It is unacceptable for leaders to use politics as a tool for violence and division. I urge the national government to act swiftly to safeguard our communities,” Rutto said.
He accused Kapseret MP Sudi and his supporters of deliberately fomenting unrest for political gain, warning that such actions threaten peace, development, and cohesion within the Rift Valley.
Rutto further stressed the importance of peaceful political engagement, urging all leaders to prioritize dialogue and constructive competition over confrontation.
The Kesses legislator also reassured his constituents of his commitment to ensuring safety, security, and inclusive development in the region, irrespective of political affiliations.
This statement comes amid growing political tensions ahead of upcoming electoral cycles, highlighting the urgent need for lawful conduct and community protection across the county.
